Antique white bedroom furniture can be quite beautiful and elegant especially for a female’s bedroom.  When decorating with antique furniture it is highly important to remain true to the era of the furniture.  For instance, if the white bedroom furniture is Victorian in design then the rest of the elements within the space should also have a Victorian theme.  Older white bedroom furniture sets are very similar to the ones you see at stores today and typically come with a bed frame, nightstand, and dresser with mirror.  The mirror and headboard are typically where the furniture designer and makers place the most decorative design so use those pieces to help you determine the overall theme for the room.  You should be able to easily find curtains, bedding, and art work of the same design style or period to tie in with the furniture.

White wicker bedroom furniture is probably the easiest type to work into a design because there are so many other wicker accessories to choose from.  Wicker is definitely considered more fitting as a girls white bedroom furniture.  Wicker art, baskets, chairs, and other items can be added to blend in with the furniture.  In a boy’s room, older white wood bedroom furniture should be handled differently unless it is not theme or period related.  In the case of a neutral white set, you should definitely try to go in a more modern direction when designing a boy’s bedroom.  Look for examples of white bedroom designs online to see if there is one that you can mimic with your type of furniture.

If you own antique furniture it would be shame to get rid of it because it doesn’t fit in with your modern taste.  Try to find ways to make it work without losing the period but still giving it a modern flair.  Check out modern design examples to see if you can find a direction to go in that utilizes the white furniture but some of your personal design style as well.  Modern design magazines, websites, and television shows are a great place to start if you need a little help getting inspired or motivated.
